1. Baking Soda Solution

  • Add ½ cup of baking soda to a bucket of warm water.
  • Soak the mop or rags for a couple of hours.
  • Rinse until the water runs clear.
  • Optionally, wash in the washing machine: place baking soda in the detergent drawer, set temperature to 70°C, and wash.

2. Vinegar Disinfectant

  • Mix 1 cup of vinegar per liter of warm water.

  • Add a few drops of tea tree oil.
  • Soak the mop for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly for a fresh, antibacterial finish.
  • Always let the mop dry completely before storing it.
  • Alternate between these methods to keep it fresh, sanitized, and long-lasting.
  • These remedies are natural, cost-effective, and safe for both your mop and your floors.
